Medical Conditions

If your child has a medical condition or allergy, please make sure this is detailed on their admission form, and complete a Health Care Plan (available from the school office or by clicking on the attachment below).  Should your child require an asthma inhaler or Epipen in school, it should be in addition to the one kept at home.  These will be kept in your child’s classroom.

Short term medication may be given in school if prescribed four times a day, and a Consent Form (available from the school office or by clicking on the attachment below) must be completed.  In line with current guidelines, no medicine may be administered by the school unless it has been prescribed by a doctor or dentist and is in the original packaging with the name of the child on it.  We are not able to administer medication that has been purchased without prescription.

Please see the attached guidance below, which refers to public health exclusions to indicate the time period an individual should not attend school to reduce the risk of transmission during the infectious stage.
