Fruit and School Dinners
All children are provided with a piece of fruit or a vegetable to eat in the morning at break time or snack time. This is funded by the Government as part of the ‘Fruit in School’ initiative. The choice is quite varied and most children enjoy this healthy snack, even those children who are fussier at home!
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school lunch and we encourage you to take advantage of this. Our hot lunches are provided by Chartwells. The menu and order form are attached below. T
If you would prefer your child to bring their own packed lunch it should be packed in a named container. Drinks should be non-fizzy and in non-breakable containers. We ask parents to ensure that these containers do not leak.
Please note that because of a number of serious allergies in school, we are a ‘nut free’ school. This means that children should not bring sandwiches with peanut butter or Nutella, or nut products of any description.
Sweets are not allowed in school.
