Relationships & Health Education Meeting

Full CalendarCalendar of Events

This event will take place between 6:00pm and 7:00pm on 04/02/2020

From September 2020 it will be a requirement by law for all schools to teach Relationships and Health Education.  In primary schools, the teaching will be on developing the key building blocks of healthy, respectful relationships.  The starting point for this will be the children's experiences of family and friendships.  There will also be a much stronger focus on developing and supporting children's mental health in school alongside their physical health.

During the Spring term we will be developing a new policy that explains what we teach in Relationships and Health Education, why we teach it and how we teach it.  We know that some of you may have particular questions or concerns about this and therefore we want to involve all parents in this process from the beginning.

This will be a joint initial meeting for parents with Jo Divers, the Headteacher at Turnfurlong Junior School, on Tuesday 4th February, 6pm to 7pm.
