Times of the school day

Morning drop-off

In the morning the school gates are opened at 8.25 am. Parents should take their children to the outside door of their child's classroom from 8.35 am, and hand their child over to their teacher or teaching assistant at the door.

  • Children should not be left unsupervised in the playground in the morning.
  • Once you have dropped your child off, please leave via the playground gates.
  • Please note that dogs are not permitted on site.

The school gates are locked at 8.45 am when the school day begins. If children arrive after 8.45 am they must be taken to the school office, and they will be recorded as arriving late.

The morning drop-off is a good time to share brief news and information with your child's teacher but if you need a longer conversation with us please make an appointment by emailing or speaking to the school office or put a note in your child's reading bag.

Collection

School finishes at 3.15 pm.

Gates are opened to parents and carers at 3.00 pm.

Parents and carers are asked to wait outside the outside door of their child's classroom. Each child is handed-over to their parent or nominated carer.  If your child is to be collected by anyone other than the person who usually collects, please include a note in the school bag that morning, giving the name of the nominated person.

Whilst we encourage all forms of exercise, we ask that pupils and sibling of pupils at the school do not use bicycles or scooters inside the school playground.  We also ask that all pupils and parents show consideration for each other on the pavement outside the school, particularly at pick-up time.

Consideration for Local Residents

The school is in a residential area, and we therefore ask that all pupils and parents show respect and consideration for local residents.  Please do not park on driveways or block access to roads.  Thank you for your assistance.

Please also note that there is no parking on school grounds. The car park is for the use of staff only.
